Hipsters,
Le Jardinier makes a phenomenal point.
Subliminally I’ve always known this but have never been able to articulate it.
A huge bravo to Le jardinier.
Salutations,
W2

Interesting how different tastes can be: Some fellow VRM members expressed their dislike against "Take A Chance With Me". To me it has always been one of the best Roxy singles ever and my favourite song (alongside "More Than This") from "Avalon".

Avalon as an entity is maybe my most frequently played Roxy album because I can always hear it and it leaves me in a good mood - I have a copy of it in my car, too. My favourites Roxy Music and For Your Pleasure to me are emotionally highly charged so I prefer Roxy's swan song ...

"The Space Between" and "The Main Thing" have funky rhythms but are a little bit monotonous IMHO. They already point at Ferry's "Boys + Girls" and "Mamouna".

Oh yes, the "Avalon Tapes". Whoever has heard it on the web must say that they include really good up-tempo-songs - unfortunately without lyrics. What a pity if they didn't see the light of day only because Bryan wasn't in the mood to write words for them ...
