Blimey! I know we all hear things differently, Ian, but you must be in a very distinct minority if you perceive more feeling in the playing of Neil Hubbard than that of Jimi Hendrix (or have I misunderstood?)!
Hendrix' playing is deeply rooted in the blues (the same, to a more diluted degree, might be claimed by Page) and there can't be a genre with more feeling in it than the blues (i.e. there would have been no jazz or rock without it).
I know some find Hendrix' voice a bit of an acquired taste (I feel the same about Dylan, although he's written some great songs...), but there's plenty of feeling in his playing. Sorry if we've dragged this thread a bit off the beaten track...
