Interview with Nick Warren " The Men behind the sound " in Jan. 2012

Meanwhile, Ferry seems happy himself, showing no signs of slowing down. Warren noted, “[Ferry] likes to work, so I think we’re out to the middle of 2012,” which happens to be Roxy Music’s 40th anniversary, so don’t be surprised if the troops are rounded up.

Hm, could we see that in another light ?

EMI have announced that the new Bryan Ferry album will be called "Dylanesque".
The scheduled release date is 5th March 2007.

Bryan Ferry - 'Olympia' Track List 12th July 2010

I can now confirm the track list for Bryan Ferry's forthcoming album 'Olympia' due out on 25th October 2010

If you see the temporal sequence of this older news, I don`t believe, that we get a B.F. Jazz album in November. Maybe next year, but not in November.
It`s an exiting history with the half trues Infos from Roxy ... and when it`s a hoax its a very good one. The track list smells a bit like Roxy .

Isn't there the small thing of the 1st album deluxe re-issue around that time? Can't see Ferry flooding the market with too much product at once.

Can you please explain how that track listing "smells like a bit of roxy"?
Every track is written by someone else!
I think job's cryptic clue may mean that the album is false but the tour isn't. Dunno really though.
Live in hope.

@gary . it smells like Roxy because at that different moments of the Roxy sessions Bryan had no ideas of songwriting. But is that new ?
Yes I live in hope and Gary you not ?

But you`re right. Hope is the one thing, truth the other.

I started an inquiry to one of the greatest german Radio Stations, if the contacts of the business from which Purl reports are correctly.
They will check it.
But if the things are really true, I think I have a problem with J.O.B

Use, don't have a problem with JOB.......he's a top chap. Much more likely I've just been told a load of old bollocks, as I suggested in my email. I really find it totally unlikely (have you heard King of the rumbling spires?).

I think the expression 'half the lies are not true' has been misunderstood. It's just a turn of phrase.

What I meant is that it's not true at all, I would bet my yellow copy of Siren on it.

J.O'B.

I think bollocks sums it up pretty well. :)

King of the Rumbling Spires does exist though.

a long time ago, during the days of the avalon mailing list, i spoofed that bf gave me a lift after a gig in a dodgy minicab he had on hire and played me a cassette of his latest album (later alphaville). my post was deliberately absurd, even if it wasn't witty. but despite that, one or two of the fellow ageing hipsters believed it...because we all want to soooo much :) . but that old post was more believable than this recent track listing :D

here is the answer from WDR 2 ( german Radio station ): there is no album in the pipe. And no tour in January.

And they didn`t conform a B.F. album in November.
