It sounds like it has to be a bandoneon or harmonium Windswept. I checked the list of musicians on Bitter Sweet but unfortunately it does not list who appears on individual tracks.

W2 thinks you are correct. Out of the two - judging by the tone of it - it’s probably the Bandoneon.
What a fabulous, haunting sound.
Windswept adores the ‘Bittersweet’ version of ‘Boys & Girls’. It gives it a whole new life.
Anyway, you’ve won the prize. What’s your pleasure ? A vodka martini peut-etre ?

My first thought before I checked the credits was that it sounded like an accordion so I lean towards the bandoneon too.

I think I will have a "Bittersweet" please, from The Jazz Age Cocktail Menu.

Ciroc Vodka shaken with Aperol
fresh lemon juice
a touch of ornage bitters
served straight up in a coupette..........cheers!

Your ‘Bittersweet’ sounds delicious. In fact W2 thinks he will join you.
In this virtual world we will be served in a crowded Art Deco bar by a beautiful mixologist who will prepare and serve sans face mask !

The strains of ‘Boys & Girls’ will play hauntingly in the background with Julian Rowlands’ Bandoneon to the fore.

Windswept has been playing ‘Bittersweet’ a lot of late. What fun they must have had making that album.

Jerry, I think might be thinking of In Every Dream Home A Heartache. At the end he joins in the the instrumental part on the guitar. I’ve also seen him play the guitar on Over You television performances, although that may have just been mimed for TV.

I love She Sells but I don't I don't like the mix of the section between verses/choruses with all that funky clavinet and find the sax too high in the mix.
