A free virtual cocktail for the first correct answer.
Salutations a tous et bon unlock, relock or even better no lock.”

Hipsters, Have any of you elegantly ageing hipsters out there got an answer ? Salutations, W2

My long years might be playing tricks with my memory but I’m sure the first time I saw Roxy in 1974 Bryan joined in on guitar at the end. Or was that on The Old Grey Whistle Test?. Oops. The song was In Every Dreamhome.

Hipsters, Have any of you elegantly ageing hipsters out there got an answer ? Salutations, W2 It sounds like it has to be a bandoneon or harmonium Windswept. I checked the list of musicians on Bitter Sweet but unfortunately it does not list who appears on individual tracks.

Out of the two - judging by the tone of it - it’s probably the Bandoneon. What a fabulous, haunting sound. Windswept adores the ‘Bittersweet’ version of ‘Boys & Girls’. It gives it a whole new life. Anyway, you’ve won the prize. What’s your pleasure ? A vodka martini peut-etre ? Salutations, W2

My first thought before I checked the credits was that it sounded like an accordion so I lean towards the bandoneon too. I think I will have a "Bittersweet" please, from The Jazz Age Cocktail Menu. Ciroc Vodka shaken with Aperol fresh lemon juice a touch of ornage bitters served straight up in a coupette..........cheers!

In fact W2 thinks he will join you. In this virtual world we will be served in a crowded Art Deco bar by a beautiful mixologist who will prepare and serve sans face mask ! The strains of ‘Boys & Girls’ will play hauntingly in the background with Julian Rowlands’ Bandoneon to the fore. Windswept has been playing ‘Bittersweet’ a lot of late. What fun they must have had making that album. Salutations et a votre sante! Windswept

Jerry, I think might be thinking of In Every Dream Home A Heartache. At the end he joins in the the instrumental part on the guitar. I’ve also seen him play the guitar on Over You television performances, although that may have just been mimed for TV.

What Roxy/Solo song do you love except for one wee bit?
I love She Sells but I don't I don't like the mix of the section between verses/choruses with all that funky clavinet and find the sax too high in the mix.
Any one else got songs they really love except for one bit?
J.O'B. Great question John - where does one start lolol 1. Ferry's vocals over Andy's solo on Sentimental Fool does my head in - no need for them I think. 2. Would love to heard a Chris Thomas produced Country Life 3. The squawking over the end of the live version of Jealous Guy from 2011 4. If It Takes All Night is a lazy boogie and should have been a B-side 5. That's enough for now

VivaRoxyMusic.com wrote: I agree with you Windswept on The Name Of The Game. I feel it's too 'Eurovision Song Contest' when the backstage curtain opens to reveal the big choir joining in at the chorus. I think there is a good song lurking around in the background with that one, a stripped down version might just reveal that.
J.O'B. Think the whole album sounds like its by Madonna
