Roxy's box is today's no. 1 of German top internet retailer j.p.c.'s album charts 8-) !! Congratulations to Bryan, Phil, Andy, TGPT, Brian Eno, Eddie and all the others!

And even if I own every Roxy song three, four, five times or more on lp, cd, sacd, dvd etc. the new black box decorates my shelf so brilliantly reminding me of the feelings I had as a boy, when their first albums with those flamboyant paper sleeves came out.

But believe me, it was not easy to be a Roxy fan, carrying around that Kari-Ann lp cover as a Bavarian boy at the age of 13, when all your friends were Bayern Munich fans or at best Jethro Tull or Genesis enthusiasts ;)

Viva Roxy forever !!!

I have received my box set and have to say it's beautifully presented. I ordered it through expression records and was delighted to find that Phil has signed the cover of the first album.
Am I alone in thinking a full RM tour later in the year along the lines of a 'Greatest Hits' format would go down a storm? Probably wont happen though.............

Sainsbury's posted my set on 2nd to arrive on the official release date (today), which it duly did.

Wasn't too impressed with the packaging; it was crammed into the sort of A4 card envelope favoured by Amazon for slimmer CD packages and without any additional protection. On the plus side, the set's outer box must be very well made as it survived four days in Royal Mail's "care" without any dents or damage, even to the corners. :geek:

Don't know if the box is resistant to fingerprints (maybe others can confirm?), as I've decided to leave the shrinkwrap on mine, at least for now. :ugeek:

As for the individual CD sleeves, these are things of high quality and great beauty; I was purring like I did as a teenager when each new Roxy album was released. I would love to see future BF releases in this format, rather than plastic jewel cases.

BF is reknowned as a perfectionist, but even he must be pleased with the look of this product. So, style and substance; dare we ask for anything more? ;)
