I’m currently reading a book about London music which features bands/songs with strong London connections. Eddie Jobson is quoted regarding Roxy’s lack of success in the US and Bryan Ferry’s detractors in the british music press.
On the former: “Roxy spoke for a purely Euro culture: Paris in the 30s, Berlin in the 40s or Kings Road in the 70s. Americans would never put Humphrey Bogart and rock music in the same sentence, let alone the same theatre”
On the latter: “socialist grubs: scruffy idiots with black leather pants, living in Camden”!

As my english isn't perfect (I'm from Belgium), I'm not quite sure I fully understood this writing, but anyway, what Eddies performance on the live album 'If there is Something' was marvellous!
