Am at cross purposes as on what forum to post this. Anyway, Colin Good. When he came on board, I think we all thought, I certainly did, that Bryan had found a cohort to hold his hand through an album, and a tour or two, at what was undoubtedly an uncertain tIme, to say the least, for our leader. What, with the Lucy thing, Otis causing all sorts of grief, and a madman on a Jumbo, maybe Colin came along in the nick of time. I think it's time to give the man a hand. For all he is not part of the Roxy "P.L.C." he seems to be more than well thought of, from within. I have a wee incling, that when Colin says about the jazz album "no no, this is all Bryan's idea" he might have just tweeked bry, a wee bit, about the idea. Hope it's as good, pardon the pun, as A.T.G.B.
The only thing that put's me off him is that he looks like my bank manager.

Colin seemed to take over the role of the late Simon Puxley to the extent of being Bryan's sounding board. For the live reunions of Roxy in 2001 and since he has been ever-present as a sort of musical band-leader. Not sure how Messrs Manzanera, Mackay and Thompson must feel about that but maybe a lucrative pay-day softens the blow and, perhaps this late in the day, they are just pleased to be out there again in front of the faithful.

Ageing Roxy Hipsters, I think Colin Good's partnership wit Geordie's favourite son is magical. The guy (Good) is a great arranger and is a fabulous jazz player. Since he came on board BF has gone from strength to strength both with his solo and Roxy incarnations. Long may they work together! Regards, Windswept

Windswept - totally agree. Who knows precisely what the dynamic is between these guys but the longevity of their collaboration on both Roxy and BF projects / touring is bordering on the unprecedented so there's got to be something good going on there. There's no doubt he was a key player in everything around ATGB and the associated tour, so on that judgement alone he is to be revered in my book anyway.
