‘Roxy Music also rocked out numbers including 'Virginia Plain', 'Editions of You' and 'Mother Of Pearl' that prompted snake-hipped gyration from Anna McElligott’

Mother of Pearl might be wrong :?:

‘Members of the band, who told Reuters before the festival they might mark their 40th anniversary by recording an album next year with former member and electronic music pioneer Brian Eno, ended with a foot-stomping rendition of 'Do The Strand', leaving the crowd demanding in vain an encore.’

Might also be wrong :?: :?:

No, "Mother of Pearl" wasn't performed in Montreux. Too bad, since it's my favorite song.

But the concert was really great, the band was in great form and we got some surprises in the set-list ("If there is something" and "Running Wild").

The keyboard player / violonist was very talented and very sexy. A great reminder of the great Roxy covergirls !

The young guitar player is also very talented and received a great triumph from the audience.

There's a chance that the show will appear on dvd or at last on TV, as the performance was filmed and most Montreux performances are seen on tv and dvd after the event.

That's all for today. All the best from Switzerland !

oh yes, the press has told that the audience was not happy for clapping for an encore and not being given one. But the band played all the set-list without leaving the stage before the encore. So, that confused the audience. But the band had played all the songs.

Does anyone know the name of the young guitar player that performed at Montreux Jazz Festival 2010? It was very impressing. Enjoyed the show.
