For me, the BEST NEWS SO FAR! so, the plan probably is:

Summer 2010: Roxy Music warm-up tour (& get some cash in)

Autumn 2010: Bryan to release his own CD (extra effort made this time around)

Another (!!) Roxy Music tour 2011, which certainly raises hope of a new CD at the same time.

Late 2011, no objections from my side if the circle re-starts with a live cd, and another series of Best-of's.

All the best from a re-vitalized Roxy Music fan, Stephen.

MEN Arena is listed at HMV tickets, and it's on sale now. £65 each though. I shan't be attending, I simply can't justify spending that much.

I see it is billed as the For Your Pleasure tour, which suggests a "Classic Albums being performed in full" kinda thing...

Do you think that there will be any more dates announced?
Don't know whether to try to make one of the ones mentioned or hang on.

As far as I know this list is all the UK dates but you never know with Roxy.

I am not sure if Europe, USA or Japan will be covered by this tour but they do have a date in Australia on 19th February. I will post any details if and when there are any.

I suspect all the best seat at the 02 have already gone to ticket touts before real fans get a chance to buy them. Its not yet 9am but there are already bundles of tickets for sale in blocks A, B and C. 02 stinks.

I thought the same as you but managed to get 2 seats in block A at 10.30am today. When I checked last night there seemed to blocks of seats gone, as you say it's not fair that the real fans don't get a chance.

You were one of the lucky ones then, Morannedd. By the time I'd registered with O2 Blueroom (a priority booking service which allows O2 phone customers to book while tickets are on pre-sale; open sale starts 09.00 tomorrow) and got the relevant password needed by Ticketmaster, it was nearly noon.

Ended up paying nearly £87 for a ticket with a £75 face value and still only got a seat to the side of the stage and at level one. The best floor level seats left were in block B, i.e. halfway back beside the sound desk. :(

Needless to say, the ticket seller couldn't explain how the pre-sale period had started several hours before any details had appeared in the O2 or Ticketmaster websites, much less the group's official site (or, indeed, how all the best floor level seats had already gone...). Huge debt of thanks therefore due to John O'B for the tip-off.

Here's hoping that the gig proves worth the wait (I'm sure it will, especially if FYP is played in its entirety; I only posted after Helsinki how much I'd like to hear Beauty Queen and Strictly Confidential played live...) and that the group can sell out the O2 (I can recall empty seats for BF at the Royal Albert Hall and touts struggling to get face value for tickets...).

£65 for a poor seat at a poor venue, +fees (Newcastle). Rip off.

I wanted to take the family. But not at those prices. My 11 year old daughter is as disappointed as me!

Should be called "The Pension Fund" Tour.
