You were one of the lucky ones then, Morannedd. By the time I'd registered with O2 Blueroom (a priority booking service which allows O2 phone customers to book while tickets are on pre-sale; open sale starts 09.00 tomorrow) and got the relevant password needed by Ticketmaster, it was nearly noon.
Ended up paying nearly £87 for a ticket with a £75 face value and still only got a seat to the side of the stage and at level one. The best floor level seats left were in block B, i.e. halfway back beside the sound desk.
Needless to say, the ticket seller couldn't explain how the pre-sale period had started several hours before any details had appeared in the O2 or Ticketmaster websites, much less the group's official site (or, indeed, how all the best floor level seats had already gone...). Huge debt of thanks therefore due to John O'B for the tip-off.
Here's hoping that the gig proves worth the wait (I'm sure it will, especially if FYP is played in its entirety; I only posted after Helsinki how much I'd like to hear Beauty Queen and Strictly Confidential played live...) and that the group can sell out the O2 (I can recall empty seats for BF at the Royal Albert Hall and touts struggling to get face value for tickets...).
