£65 is a ridiculous amount to expect hard up fans to pay Mr multimillionaire Ferry. Really disappointed, I cant afford £50 (back seat)/£65 get real :(

Absolutely.......they are clearly milking it. Interestingly I've just bought tickets for Arcade Fire (a band on the up, rather than a dried up one) at the SEC, for about £26 each!

exactly - I saw Eric Burdon last week for £20. 68 years old, still got it, great value for money, great gig. :D

Indeed. I'd love to go to Arcade Fire ("The Suburbs" is absolutely fantastic) but the venues (arenas) are all appalling. One the reasons (the other being price, of course) why I'm reluctantly not going to see Roxy.

In contrast, I've just paid £35 for top seats to see Robert Plant at the best music venue available - The Sage at Gateshead. Bargain.

Thanks CPL!! Just got two of the last ones for Robert Plant! Re the Sage, I agree that it's a beautiful hall with great acoustics, but I always find it a bit flat for pop/rock gigs. For example, I saw the BF Dylanesque shows at both the beautiful Sage and the dump City Hall. The latter was three times better! I'm looking forward to standing at the SECC seeing Arcade Fire.

Glad to be of service!

Perhaps I'm getting old - but give me decent acoustics anyday! Also, the best concert I have EVER seen was at The Sage last year - David Byrne, playing the songs of Eno & Byrne. Unbelievably brilliant. Fantastic musically, and atmosphere.

Saw Roxy at Wembley Arena in 2001. Not bad. But I'd have much preferred the Apollo, as per the DVD. Ferry (2002) at the rundown Ipswich Regent was good - far better than the appalling Carlisle Sands Centre for Dylanesque. Hope Bryan gets to The Sage with Olympia at some point.

£65 is not expensive at all. I see Elton John regular for £80-£110 and I saw Rod Stewart in May and he charges £77, I'm afraid it's the norm and cheaper than many others.
Plus when they have been going since 1971 it's justified and they are excellent!

What don't you agree with two of the greatest artists of all time Elton going since 1970 and Rod late 60s.
The money is justified you tight t**t.

I don't deffend the high fees for concerts, still one must remember
that this is not the ideal world of "free festivals" like Monterey 67, but a reality that we all know doesn't longer belong to record-sales to be the lifeline of any musical artist.

Therefore concerts and tours seems important to artists whether their name is Elton John, Rod Stewart, Coldplay or Bryan Ferry.

And for the latter comments and no's a wise man once said:

-Like what u like, enjoy what u enjoy, and don't take crap from anybody.
