Just a bit of additional info in support of John O'B's main news item...

A phone enquiry of the Portobello Film Festival here in London confirmed that the short film about GS, "Nothing But The Magnificent", will be shown this evening at the festival's official opening. Thereafter it seems to be listed for the evening of Monday 13/9.

However, "short" it certainly is, running for only about 6 mins. Both evening showings (i.e. 20/8 & 13/9) will be part of a series of short films, with no strict timetable. Best to time any visits to the bar or toilet carefully, therefore, for fear of missing it!

There was a related thread running on www.roxyrama.org recently, but The Wire article may be worth tracking down.

Hope Graham is well. I understand he went to India, or some such place, shortly after the first album to find himself and kind of disappeared.

He is alive and kicking in London and has been back there for a long time.

I was invited by the film makers to take part in the doucumentary and interview him from a Roxy fan point of view. His memory of that period from when he first met Ferry right up until leaving and the years after was impecable despite the fact it is obvious he has had a few 'Morrocan Woodbine' over the years (4 during my interview).

The fruits of my interview will be published here in the next few weeks. The article in The Wire is an interesting read too.

Thanks for that, John. I wondered from time to time what had become of him. I read in a few books that recording became difficult sometimes as he was a little "emotional" once in a while. Will be interested to read the article when it's posted.
