I have seen Roxy 10 times since the 'reform' in 2001. With a few exceptions they have played identical sets. Seeing the set lists for the early summer shows, I decided to give the festival tour a miss...I have, however bought tickets for the 2011 tour - Here's my fantasy set list...

The Thrill of it All
Street Life
Beauty Queen
Over You
2HB
Pyjamarama
All I Want Is You
Both Ends Burning
If There Is Something
Mother Of Pearl
Angel Eyes
Grey Lagoons
Out Of The Blue
Serenede
Prairie Rose
Dream Home
Avalon
More Than This
Virginia Plain
Love Is The Drug
Do The Strand
For Your Pleasure

You'd better get rehearsing lads!
I can dream...

Looking at the Bonn setlist if they were to drop My Only Love, Love Is The Drug, Jealous Guy and Let's Stick Together and replace with A Really Good Time, Psalm, Grey Lagoons and Beauty Queen I'd be a very happy man at Newcastle in January.
Highly unlikely but you never know.

How about "True to Life"? Never played live, yet BF must surely have some fondness for the song to have sampled it for the intro of "You Can Dance". It would seem to fit the more limited range of his voice these days too.

To be an anorak about the sample of 'True To Life' on 'You Can Dance', Bryan has not only sampled it but he has changed it's pitch as TTL the note is a C and YCD is a B

I think True to Life is too complex a recording to come off live. The Avalon album is a great piece of Hi Fi, but i have nevered enjoyed any of the live versions of songs from that album with the exception of Tara

I'm hoping that they'll do all of For Your Pleasure, then after an interval...

Manifesto or Sentimental Fool to open
Amazona
Take A Chance With Me
Prairie Rose (but closer to the recorded version than the one they did live in 2005)
Still Falls The Rain
Casanova (Country Life version)
Same Old Scene
Serenade
Angel Eyes

encore:
Out Of The Blue
Viginia Plain

Ahhh, Prairie Rose...my fave song of all time. Unfortunately Roxy have always played the arrangement you heard live in 2005. Even during the '74 and '75 tours they utlilised Andy's clarinet on the coda and not Manzo's jingle-jangle riff that fades out Country Life. I quite like the Andy's tuneful melody but nothing beats Phil's lingering guitar on PR. I would be in RM heaven if they opened with the original arrangement complete with military snare intro circa Viva.

I honestly don't think they would be that radical or kind enough to give us the whole For Your Pleasure. But I hope they will realise that hearing roughly the same set since 2001 is disappointing for most fans. I would like to hear anything from Sea Breezes, Chance Meeting, Amazona, Serenade, Prairie Rose, All I want is You, A reallu good time, Just Another High, Still Falls the rain, Spin me Round, Flesh +Blood and Running Wild. I realise that they would have to keep at least 10 old favourites that have probably been played to death, but I wouldn't lose any sleep if they dropped Song For Europe, Out of the Blue, My Only Love, While my Heart is Still Beating, Tara and possibly Ladytron and IEDH. I used to look forward to hearing some of these songs live, but not no more !
