The irony is the next album Bowie put out after that quote (at his 50th) was the underwhelming Hours.

It gave me a bit of a chuckle revisiting these BF/Bowie memories, much of which was written as both Hours and the 1999 Roxy remasters were issued by Virgin.

The Bowie and Roxy connections are forever solidified.

They toured together, or at least shared the bill at a few gigs.

Bowie's collaborations with Eno.

Tin Machine covering If There is Something.

Bowie and Phil appearing together with David Gilmour & Richard Wright.
