A 'wonder drummer' is whom they sought, and it was whom they got in Paul.

It's amazing how such a stylistically complex style of drumming doesn't overwhelm the soft aural textures of that song. 2HB is truly one of the Roxy's finest outputs, and it just might be my favorite too.

Happy birthday, Paul. As I was born well past the year when the band broke up, I consider it my great fortune to have seen and heard Paul back Bryan on the Olympia Tour in Los Angeles.

A truly great drum track - a real pleasure to hear in isolation!

One of the great crimes of "song-writing ownership" is that a track like 2HB is solely credited to BF - and thus he receives all song-writing royalties - while the incredible contribution of TGPT's drumming, which is essential to the character of the song, passes unrecognized in a legal sense. Sigh...

If TGPT's drum tracks are available in isolation, what I'd like to hear now is his work on "Serenade"!

Happy Birthday, Paul! I agree with Eno when he said "if it hadn't been for Paul Thompson, Roxy Music would have been just another art school band." All the best, Paul and thanks.
