Now that the long awaited confirmation of a release date and content detail has been announced, I thought I would start a new thread to discuss the deluxe edition.

More details can be found here:

Can you give us your thoughts on any of the previously unavailable content you may have heard/seen. Any particular favourites.

I'm surprised that so much alternative material survives as it was common practice to wipe tapes and re-use them back then.

There appears some confusion around the inclusion of the 12min-plus Peel Session recording of If There Is Something from July 72. Some of the track listings have it (giving a total of 15 tracks on the BBC Sessions CD); some do not (giving 14 tracks). A quick calculation of the timings suggest that if included it would push the CD playing time over the 80min mark, which makes it unlikely I guess.

It looks like the 10" version of Ladytron that came out a couple of years ago isn't included? I've yet to hear it sadly.

PS:

The correct “The Peel Sessions” dates are :
1. Recorded: 1972-01-04. First broadcast: 21 January 1972
2. Recorded: 1972-05-23. First broadcast: 23 June 1972
3. Recorded: 1972-07-18. First broadcast: 01 August 1972

Cheaper than Amazon

I will wait a year or two and buy it second hand.

Whatever, enjoy, it is a great collection of gems.

Sorry to be dense, but when it says "signed", does that mean by the entire band (minus Graham Simpson, of course) or just Bryan Ferry?
