Viva! was originally supposed to be a double LP.

(A critic said this--Lester Bangs maybe). Street Life wouldn't exist had it not been for the Stones' tune Citadel.

Luther Vandross was a member of Roxy Music for about 20 minutes.

Mr Jobson is not on the greatest of terms with the other members of RM.

More later.

Viva! WAS meant to be a double album as told to me by three members of the band. It fell foul of Ferry's obsession with perfection!

I heard in an radio interview in Andy's own words "I nearly joined Mott The Hoople", so right from he horse's mouth.

Bryan said himself that Viva was originally intended as a double album. In an interview he answered a question about Andy, (in another interview), being less than happy that none of his co-writes made the final cut. Bryan replied something like.

'The tracks were chosen democratically, we all voted and the tracks with the most votes were selected. Viva was originally meant to be a double album and if it had been 'Three and Nine' would have been included'.
