Finally a nomination for Roxy. Should have happened decades ago.

4 votes from me (1 from every emailaddress in the house) :)

A long time coming, but it's pretty much a long shot that RM will make it to the RRHF this time around.

How much do Fan Votes count in the selection process? Just wondering...

I went to the RRHF site to check out the significance of "Fan Voting." It seems that the the top 5 fan favorites get some kinda of boost but if you are not in the top 5 the Fan Vote doesn't mean much. Or that's how I interpreted what I read...

Seems to me that Stevie Nicks is a sure thing. And The Cure seems likely. And Todd Rundgren is an Industry Insider who has a decent shot - also (for better or worse) his Bang on the Drum All Day is major staple of American Culture and been played to death in Sports Arenas from coast to coast...

I voted for the lads, against my better judgement, as, frankly, I despair at the USA grip on such things. When I saw the list of nominees omits George Formby - yet again - for goodness sake! And.... haway man, The Zombies!!!!!????

Anyone remember the BBC Top Twenty/Thirty/Fifty Hall of Fame thingy they did about 10 years ago? The reason Elton John got so high was because he sold shedloads of albums, the reason the Velvet Underground got so high was.....because they didn't.

Clueless.

Thanks Avondale for the link.
Never knew about the Elliott and Def connection. Nice.
