In an interview published in Australia BF reports that Eno won't be at the RRHOF ceremony

The article was linked on the BF section of VRM by Uwe and I copy it here because of the Eno/RM news it contains...

I guess Eno is a really busy guy...

Brian Eno, "Unable to attend"........as expected.

Eddie Jobson has confirmed he is going to be there which is good to hear.

It seems poor form on the part of RARHAF that inductees have to pay for their own seat/ticket to attend. :(

8-)

Paul may not be there either as Lindisfarne have gigs on the 29th & 30th.
They may have a sub in place for those dates though.

Big shame about Eno, although certainly no surprise - he never likes to look back.

I really prefer to see Eddie Jobson than Eno, much more creative for the band. I know most of you will kill me, but I always thought that. And I am a fan since 1973 :D
Actually I would like to hear the first two albums "naked", which means without the sounds of Eno. I am sure we would be pleasantly surprised !

Cher jeanjean,
I agree with you fully! Though Eno is highly talented and I share many of his ideas & opinions, he meant very little for RM. Indeed, Jobson was much more important.

It's being reported that Simon Le Bon and John Taylor of Duran Duran will be inductng Roxy into the RRHOF later this month.

Hmmm. Duran Duran? Did somebody else turn down the gig and this became Plan B?

Oh well, whatever...

If you read down past the feature there’s a 23 Ferry/Roxy albums ranked piece. Some interesting points made and some surprises, too. Of course, few of us would ever agree on these.
What a body of work, though.

Yeah, Duran Duran were great fans. I fear it`s gonna be a non-event, with RM not even playing a song. BF might be staying in his comfort zone, making it a luke warm ceremony, well, maybe just one song.

Duran Duran are one of many "sons" of Roxy Music - utilizing Antony Price suits and costumes for their videos, and carrying the torch for Roxy over many years. John Taylor is even interviewed in the Roxy documentary 'The Roxy Music Story'. They are a very good choice.

Eno really tries never to look back and this tendency is becoming more pronounced the older he gets.

Viva Roxy!
cheers
