Well, where to begin? Not so much in reviewing this magnificent tome, as wading through it! I guess page 1 would be a start, but even before you get there, the attention to detail impresses with the list of dates on the inner cover. This is, by a Country Life mile, the finest book ever produced on our beloved band and its going to be hours of pure joy navigating its pages. Well done and thank you Jocelyn. This is a triumph and the finest of tributes in this 50th anniversary year. Truly, no fan will be complete without a copy. PS: Top marks to Forbidden Planet on their despatch and delivery. This was very securely packaged to begin with but then placed within a humongous box (see the carbon footprint!) meaning it couldn't possibly arrive in anything less than pristine condition. |

Arrived today at 11:40 in a very large box. Superb book a pleasure to have and to hold. I’d quite forgotten how dramatic the entrance was for the Flesh & Blood tour. Those photos brought it all back, especially the tease when the blinds began to open. |

Cher Bobby, Bravo - what a thing of beauty you have created. IWNSHO, the ‘real life’ quality of the photos enhances the experience as does your humorous, down to earth commentary. Roxy must be enormously proud. How many musicians have a supporter who has created such a loving testimony to their careers ? Windswept is sure they all cherish it. Of course, W2 would have loved to see something from ‘72 but accepts your youth prohibited it. As time goes by and the lines deepen, Windswept lui-meme is starting to wish he’d joined the party plus tard ! The book has many highlights but one particular photo I really enjoyed is that of the late Mr & Mrs Ferry sat, in their finery, awaiting the arrival on stage of their Bonny Lad. Great stuff. Bobby - encore un fois - bravo. More by luck than good management, W2 has managed to take in every Roxy/Ferry tour and it’s so great to relive those moments. Salutations, Windswept |

Well, the week started off on a high with a little drinks soiree in Soho to say thanks to all the people who helped me with my Roxy Live book. And look who wandered in off the street, (he was actually invited and came after a long grueling day of rehearsals, which made it even more special for me). But really, I just want to say thank you to you, you lovely lot. You have been so kind in your praise and support and I am so relieved I haven't let you down. And guess what? You've only gone and helped it get to No 1 in Cinematography Photography, No 1 in Celebrity Photography and No 2 in Individual Photographers in Amazon's rankings! Blimey! It'll probably be in the bargain bucket by next week. Thanks to Richard for leaving an Amazon review, much appreciated. If anyone else would care to leave one, I'd be made up. Oh, the thrill of it all!! xx
