John,

When Roxy toured in 2001 Phil put a lot of info on his website about the gear that he would be using. When you are next in contact with him could you ask him to do the same again please, here or on his site, once things have been decided.

Thanks,

Roger

Serious question: is there anyone from Germany who bought a ticket for the concert in the O2 Arena in London? I need help and would like to exchange information on this. Thanks.

I am so pleased that Roxy are doing something to celebrate what for me has been the best 50 years in music history.
Having said that I am a little worried about a few things. Firstly how will Bryans voice be singing all those wonderful classic Roxy songs?
We all know his voice has matured/changed over time and is much weaker than at his peak, understandable. I don't believe the songs will be truely "Roxy".
Secondly, will they fill those big arenas in the US? UK won't be a problem. But we all know how the sound can be problems in those arenas
Thirdly, the ticket prices? I wouldn't mind paying UKP 150 for a smaller venue but not the O2.
I am now retired and living in South Africa. It would cost me UKP 2,000 just to get back to the UK. My budget is not what it used to be.
So for the first time since seeing Roxy at the Rainbow in March 1973 I shall be missing a tour.
I treasure the great memories of concerts past.
To those of you attending this tour, enjoy it and I am very jealous.
Viva, Roxy Music
Michael

As announced on his Facebook page, Eddie Jobson will not be touring with Roxy.

It doesn't suprise me at all, but it feels like a big error. EJ was a better option than sax-miss Jorja.

@blakey: keep your money in the pocket and treasure the great memories.

Meanwhile looking forward to the super-de-luxe edition of FYP, including a HD-footage of the Golden Rose Festival show at Montreux, 29 April 1973. Awesome.

I'm not sure what my schedule is going to be like in September, but I decided to take a look at what it might cost me to get a decent seat at the Roxy gig in Philly. Hmmm. I paid $125 apiece for two tickets to the BF show in Philly back in 2016 and was in the center, 4th row. If you want comparable tix for the Roxy gig in Sept the price appears to be in the range of $1,000 per ticket. OK...

Yes you can tickets in the $130 range that won't be too bad I guess, but you'll be back a ways....

Perhaps there are a lot of people you will be willing to pay a lot to see Roxy, but I'm not sure there will be enough to fill up the Wells Fargo Center anywhere close to capacity....
