In Your Mind is my favorite Ferry solo by far. The only song I don't like is Tokyo Joe, which has not worn well over time due to it's cultural inappropriateness. The title track, and Love Me Madly Again are sublime, and I really enjoy the romanticism of One Kiss, Party Doll, and Rock of Ages-they all hit the spot for this jaded old romantic. I also really like Manifesto, and the East Side is as good as anything Roxy produced through the years, I even like Trash though it certainly was a stab at the Zeitgeist in 1979. The songs Ferry cites from the West Side, Cry Cry Cry and My Little Girl, are certainly disposable. Roger you missed Spin me Round in your list of good tracks on Manifesto! It evokes the perfect Roxyish resignation. |
