Tomorrow the 28th May is the 40th anniversary of Avalon I believe.

This for me will see nearly three weeks of Roxy celebrations in the Miniluv household concluding with the 50th anniversary of the debut LP on 16th June.

I have worked it out that if I play each album and the corresponding singles I can have a Roxy soundtrack each day in reverse chronological order, leading up to the big celebration of Roxy Music.

I will probably play these on CD using the box set for the separate singles and b sides (on adjacent days) although the weekend of the 4th & 5th will mean dusting down the vinyl editions of Greatest Hits and Viva! Something I’m particularly looking forward to as I have to confess I haven’t played these albums for a few years now. (Shame on me - there’s no excuse!)

I wonder if any other forum members are as sad as me? Or am I just a Sentimental Fool?
