Not sure the exact order, but my most played albums, (all the way through), are Stranded first & FYP second. Avalon last even though I have heard the title track and 'More Than This' countless times.

Stranded is first, partly because it was the first album I bought. Third to fifth spot in no particular order Roxy Music, Country Life & Siren. Not much between 6th & 7th for Manifesto & F&B.

FYP, Roxy Music, Country Life, Stranded, Siren, Avalon, F&B, Manifesto. Still love and much prefer the earlier two by miles.

Siren just edges first place for me then Stranded, FYP and Country Life, I still listen to the best of the rest but nowhere near as often.

They all have some wonderful tracks but there's quite a few that I find
almost unlistenable. (My Only Love, My Little Girl, Cry, Cry, Cry, The Bob Medley etc).

Stranded, FYP, Country Life, Roxy Music, Siren, Avalon, Flesh+Blood, Manifesto

It does seem that the 72-75 period is preferred

For Your Pleasure, Flesh + Blood, Stranded, Country Life, Avalon, Manifesto, Roxy Music, Siren.

Having said that, I have been playing Manifesto a lot lately as my 11 year old is loving that album especially the title track and he keep playing the album in the car.

Mes amis!

Avalon, Flesh + Blood, Country life, Stranded, Siren, Manifesto, For your pleasure, Roxy Music.
Much more often I listen to BF;s solo records, though!

Best record for the car? Must be Flesh + Blood as it contains Oh yeah!

Please release Love letters on cd/vinyl very soon!

Bon été à tous!

For Your Pleasure ... Roxy Music ......... Siren/Stranded ... Avalon ... Country Life ...... Manifesto/Flesh + Blood ........ (any other of the 2.000 albums I own).

Roxys oeuvre is my musical bible, like others adore their Beatles' records.

BTW 1: My list is not free of contradictions as I really adore the first two Roxy albums but my most played Roxy album is ... Avalon :? 8-) .

BTW 2: There are some weaker songs like Cry Cry Cry, Rain Rain Rain or Flesh And Blood but I really like Trash although many fellow VRM members don't.

Me too! Maybe it was the excitement of the first new Roxy track. Maybe it was because it sat comfortably with some of the 'maturer' punk of the time (early punk was never my scene) - Boomtown Rats and Squeeze spring to mind. But I loved the energy of the track. I remember on the Manifesto tour, the entire crowd went wild when they played it. Dancing on seats - back in the day when merely getting out of your seat didn't elicit a groan and both hands on the armrests to assist the elevation! :)

I still like it today, though still lament its brevity. Trash 2 was a great reimagining.

As for albums, it's hard to disentangle 'most played' from 'favourite' and as the latter can still change 40-50 years later so, ergo, can the former. But right now I'd list them as:
Avalon
Country Life
Stranded
Flesh + Blood
For Your Pleasure
Manifesto
Roxy Music
Siren.

I'm certain the first two albums will rise again, not quite so sure that Siren will. It seems much cherished here but it's always felt as though the highlights are outnumbered by the frankly mediocre. It is to Roxy what IYM often appears to be amongst fans for BF.

Hmm, interesting to see Viva isn't mentioned above. Roxy's last rock album. Anyway, RM, FYP, Stranded, CL, Siren, Viva!, Manifesto (East Side).
Talking about unlistenable tracks: almost the whole West Side of Manifesto, Midnight Hour, Eight Miles High (come on, Roxy wasn't a cover band...), Running Wild, While My Heart Is Still Beating. But at that time Roxy was already a polished session band...
