Running wild or More than this (no band only BF playing on piano).

I think Sunset would be great for a final last song....

'One last sigh of farewell, goodbye"

Perfect, but I doubt it.

I like the suggestions of Sunset or Spin Me Round. I know I would have tears in my eyes.

Bon soir!

For me the best ending is Jealous guy, much preferable to the noisy Editiones of you. For your pleasure is another possibility.
All in all it will be a predictable set list, which I find understandable. Usually it is in the middle section BF throws in some surprises. I' d love to hear Running wild, All I want is you or Spin me round.
What about the opener? The thrill of it all, The main thing or the beginning of Manifesto going over to another song before it stalls?
Anyway, let's cherish this moment. Of course I'm going to 02. I prefer to attend concerts by Roxy Nova at smaller venues, but this is an unique opportunity.
Comme si souvent, I am surprised to read so much negative, cynical, bland things on this forum, almost always coming from persons I thougt were roxymaniacs. Never mind, let's enjoy!

Interesting question. It'll probably be something we'd expect, as their set list seems to have the same 4 or 5 tunes leading up to the final notes. Having said that though, it would be quite unusual and amazing if they opted to end with: Strictly Confidential, Bitters End, Sunset, or Sentimental Fool.

I wonder if they’ll bow out with maybe a song from the Avalon album?

Avalon itself perhaps (now the party’s over) and then it allows most of the band to wave off during what would have been Yanick Ettienne’s part.

Although we’re probably getting excited and overthinking it all and they’ll just end with FYP! :D

Regardless I’m really excited to see them play one last time again. Last time we obviously seen them in 2011 and my dad was still with me - he died in 2018 so it will be emotional seeing them without him and for what, we think, will be the final time.

Although I am of course also firmly convinced that the Roxy Live Shows will end with the performance in the O2 Arena, it is still a shame for the many fans in Germany, Benelux etc... I would have expected more style and gratitude. ... So I had no choice but to book two expensive tickets with hotel, flight etc. for the O2 Arena for The Last Roxy Gig.

Coming back to this thread:

actually you say goodbye with the biggest hit you had. And that's Jealous Guy.
A football player is also said goodbye with his biggest and most important goals in the overlay of film contributions. Anything else makes little sense.

Wow! Funny to read this on the forum: Bon soir! For me the best ending is Jealous guy, much preferable to the noisy Editiones of you.. How opinions can differ...

In a broader view (a few topics in one message):
A great listen, the three part BBC audio-doc. It brings back memories how we discovered Roxy in '72. And promoted it by friends. Some took it, many didn't. Haha, of course not: Roxy was only for cognoscenti .
But it also reflects perfectly the ambivalent feelings towards Roxy. Like Phil says about the subsequent period of Roxy: "Roxy left Europe". And that's exactly what happened. US, money, prestige - the temptations were too strong. TGPT was clear about that, but also Andy suffered: rock and experiment were gone.
That's why Avalon f.i. never was a Roxy-abum: it was a Ferry-album. Okay, a nice one. But it had nothing to do with Roxy Music.

It's like Mr. S. MacKenzie says on this forum: (Roxy was) a quintessentially European band. That makes this 50-years tour a complete mystery.

About the opening or last song: Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn...
