-Hmm, a very emotive band. They just follow their nose. Bryan says I want to do a solo album and that settles it. The chemistry thing is difficult to explain, Phil says. I believe him. However, people have whispered about a 9th Roxy album ever since Mamouna.

Phil is often called "El Magnifico" (the magnificent) by David Gilmour of Pink Floyd. Enough said.

Actually, I should acknowledge one thing of note in the interview related to the Roxy recordings circa '06/'07.

While he is dismissive of their quality, PM does reveal that the recordings are on his laptop and that every once in a while he listens to them (if only to confirm that they are not what he wishes they might be).

So the recordings for the scrapped 9th album do exist. They just aren't available for anybody other than principal Roxy members to listen to...
