I am really looking forward to both Bryan's Mamouna/Horoscope set and Phil and Andy's new record - maybe to be released on the same day ... Both records/sets weren't to be expected at the beginning of this year.

But anno 2023 we had high hopes to finally get the SDE of For Your Pleasure. A full Love Letters album was also within the realms of possibility. And a last concert video of our beloved band Roxy Music was something that was widely expected by the members of this forum.

What do the others think about that? Is there anything you are allowed to tell us, John? Greetings to all from Bavaria!

The Roxy Music half speed remasters from last year will , I feel, be the last we get from the band.
Roxy Music SDE was the first and last word in the format from them.

JO'B recently alluded to the likelihood of news on FYP at some point. Clearly he can't say much more, but it suggests to me all is not lost as far as that SDE is concerned. But I don't think the signs are good for any others from Roxy. If that turns out to be the case, it's certainly a missed opportunity and so out of step with the commemorative editions so commonplace elsewhere.

Maybe BF will knock out a few more solo SDEs, but as I and others have said so often before, he needs to get a wiggle on. None of us are getting any younger!

According to recent signals, Phil and Andy do, but Bryan doesn`t, to put it bluntly. -Nothing new in this. Maybe he`s just enjoying time off. A well deserved time off, some would say. However, -very sparse news from Phil and Andy.

As with all things Roxy Bryan seems to hold the key, which is both a strength and a weakness. Take the McCartney archive releases for instance - if I understand it correctly Sir Paul has a team looking after his archives who go through what there is, put something together for him based on that which he effectively has to then either approve or reject. Not sure whether Bryan operates in the same way: all we know is that the wheels grind slowly, if at all.
