Currently on a Sunday night there is a delightful 30 minutes of TV on BBC2 here in the UK. It’s a fishing programme featuring comedians Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse and this week they were in Shropshire. Of particular interest, ten minutes in, was the pairs visit to a Record Shop in Market Drayton where Roxy featured quite heavily.
Bob enacted his school days with a copy of Stranded under his arm and Paul walked out with For Your Pleasure to the strains of 2HB. More Than This also featured later in the excellent soundtrack that usually accompanies each show. Worth watching on iPlayer if you can and also repeated on Thursday (tomorrow) night.
It also got me thinking about the band members fishing exploits. I can’t imagine any of them Coarse Fishing with handfuls of groundbait and wriggling maggots. But I have seen photos of Bryan sea fishing from a boat and Andy did indulge in Fly Fishing when he lived in Kenmare Ireland. Any other evidence available ?
