Well.............and so it drifts on. What can the explanation be for the dithering and delay, the slush and the mush. Perhaps we're just unrealistic to believe that after all the soft living, the money, the girls, the villas, the Bentleys, the beautiful clothes and, perhaps most fatally, the lack of challenge, there's enough creative fire left. We can't blame the old boy.......the trajectory has been entirely understandable. Who wouldn't want to partake fully in this gilded lifestyle? Still, a shame though..........

We're expecting too much. Bryan's been writing for almost 40 years. He's just run out of steam. Most musicians run out of steam after so long. He's only written 2 albums in 20 years so don't expect anything for a while yet.

I read somewhere (it may have been the now defunct BFOnline forum) that the Roxy album is finished. This was from someone who apparently knew Andy's wife.

On the welcome at Bryan's relaunched site is says 'Since the Dylanesque tour, BF has been in the studio working on a new album.'

So if you are an optimist and believe the above there's 1 Roxy album in the can and 1 Bryan album in prep.

Wish BF would just pull his finger out and release something.

Yes, my theory was probably rubbish. I'm really surprised at the lack of communication, though. But I think BF has realised that his mysterious persona is best maintained by only saying anything when there's something to sell. Our hunger for product is best fed, strangely, by feeding us nothing.

If you read the new Phil Manzanera interview, there might be a little hint at something happening I think you'll find...
