[quote="le freak"]- Loving late Roxy...[/quote

Ah I thought that was the case...I can understand that if you discovered Roxy in the later years the early stuff is hard to get to grips with, the style is obviously worlds apart. Maybe I have hit on something...have a tour for pre Manifesto and another from Manifesto onwards...then everyones happy : ) even the hippies !

..which explains your name...

Le Freak was a Chic single, wasn't it? Perhaps the suggestion (rather than anything insulting) was simply that LF is a fan of Nile Rodgers' influence on BF's later work? Or maybe I'm just making a connection which doesn't exist! :lol:

Well, there are some paradoxes here... I do love the song "Le Freak" by Chic and Nile Rogers, and would be delighted if BF would have given us something in that vein. But, still waiting for the Olympia LP, and not having heard it, so far Nile Rogers has added nothing of coolness to Bryan`s music.

Post hippies are not hippies, and puzzlingly enough I`ve been following Roxy from their 1st album.

It gets better! Think Bryan and the boys have given their doubters two fingers with this arrangement! Just hope it sounds as good as it looks!

I'm sitting here with a glass of wine refreshing the set list page and gasping louder and louder with every added song!
What an eclectic set list - certainly not for the casual fan so far.
"2HB"! "Bitter-Sweet"! They are really pulling the rarities out of the bag tonight.
How does the set hang together though - on paper, or rather on screen, it seems a little bit scattergun, a rather random selection of Roxy tracks. And do we really need "Like A Hurricane" when Roxy has so many top tunes of their own?
But so far - pretty much a fan's dream, and real surprise after the somewhat lazy sets of recent years.
Cheers,
Richard
