with reference to 'recently' released Roxy/Ferry material is there an average time between final mixing and actual release of the material?

I am not sure why that is there, maybe Phil has reserved space for news on Roxy Music that could be announced this year. As far as I know there are no plans for live shows this year, but you never know with Ferry/Roxy sometimes they surprise us but it seems time is marching on and there has been no official announcement made and there are certain times in the year Roxy/Ferry have and haven't released albums and toured. At a guess if we where to have an album/tour this year then we would hear soon because historically (going by As Time Goes By, Frantic, Dylanesque the only new albums released by Ferry/Roxy since the internet existed) it has been 4 months before the release date that we start getting definate information like album titles track listing etc. Ferry/Roxy have never released a new album after early November to beginning of March so based on that we would need to hear something official in the next month if we where to have a 2009 release. I would also assume that any touring would tie in with any album release. What I have said here is no more than an educated guess based on what has historically happened in the past. J.O'B. |
