Indeed it was Piccadilly Records peanut! the queue was a joke, but I stuck it out like a real trouper, you could've nipped over to the 'Night and Day' bar and got me a cup of Tea If I'd have known, I'd have made use of you one way or another!! haha only kiddin

Its a shame to see so many appearing on ebay :(

Yesterday sounded like pandemonium in London; one of the bigger Soho stores, Sister Ray's, sold its 25 copies within the first hour, I believe. Most of the other stores got very few copies and sold them equally quickly. Stores were not allowed to reserve copies, so I missed out at one store by not being able to get there quickly enough, even though they had two left when I phoned...

I was too slow off the blocks, but managed to pick one up at lunchtime; had to grit my teeth and pay £9.99, though! :o Could have sworn I saw something on the net suggesting that it would retail at £5, but the shop where I bought mine claimed that it cost them more than that and that there was no "recommended retail price".

Would be interested to learn what others paid...

Sadly, I've yet to track down a second copy for another VRM member and I guess it's less likely that I'll find a small indie store with one left over, but I'll keep trying.

There are heaps on eBay with start prices ranging from 99p to over £25, but not too many have attracted bids yet. It might still be possible to find one for £10 or less via that route; might be worth keeping tabs on any which don't sell and then checking whether the sellers are open to offers?

If anyone's not a registered eBayer and still desperate for a copy, I'm happy to bid on his/her behalf; just tell me what your maximum bid, including postage, would be (you'd only pay me the actual cost).

£9.99  ...... I paid £5.49

I also wanted to pick up a copy for my friend, but the store I was at was only selling one Item per person, He's a genuine fan as well, and will probably look on the ebay situation now.

Yes, I too read the price was to be £5.

The copies sold on Ebay so far have had a finishing price of around £15-£20 if you include the P&P which varies. A few on "Buy It Now" have been snapped up too.

I have kept a note in my watch list as I wanted to see what they would go for.

Don't you just hate people who "buy to sell" at a profit

8-)

Tripped over a sealed copy of this 7" single in a London store on Monday (yesterday) for only £6.99.

If anyone needs it for their collection and would be willing to pay the postage cost too, I'll happily go back and pick it up, if it's still available. :)
