Sorry for posting this if it has been mentioned before. I noticed a fresh auction on e-bay this afternoon for a single, a Christmas single from 1980 by a band called "The Dumbells." Roxy Music under an alias, it says. Being curious , I chanced it on youtube and it's there! I thought I was pretty clued up but I have never heard of this, or it, before. Pretty astonishing. Two intrumentals. "Giddie Up" and "A Christmas Dream". It's Roxy allright. While I was listening to it on youtube, I noticed an interview with Bryan on Absolute Radio with Geoff ??, from December last year that I had never seen before and that has to be the coolest I have ever seen Bryan Ferry on any interview. His comments on Eno are hillarious. He even mentions the possibility of a Roxy album. He's in great form here. Check it out. The single on e-bay is up for grabs at £12. Sorry if any of the above is old hat, but I think it's possibly not, to everyone. |

The track stated as a christmas dream is actually from Phil Manzanera's primitive guitars album from 1982 and the talking at the end is Eno not Ferry. |
