According to the News of The World, the newlyweds chose a Bryan Ferry ballad called If there is Something for their first dance ! |

I knew this day would come. The press and passing fans confuse all Roxy stuff post 1980 with Bryan's solo stuff and you can see why. But the 1972-1975 stuff ? |

We really shouldn't be too surprised when we come across sloppy journalism: the papers are full of it. However, unless we know the subject matter well enough to spot the errors then we tend to take what they print as reliable. I think they work on the basis that they can fool most of the people most of the time and that this is good enough. What I find more surprising, if the substance of the story is true, is that this represents a touch of class from somebody who, until now, I didn't think had any. |

Apparantly , Bryan payed a short set at the wedding as well. The serious partying began at 11pm when the bash was transformed into a Venetian masked ball. Guests included, Paul Mccartney, Jude Law, Sadie Frost, Meg Mathews and Naomi Campbell. They partied until 6am. Otis Ferry was one of the last to leave,, looking half undressed and bleary eyed ! |

Yes, and apparently as part of that set he did a solo version of ITIS as the first dance. So maybe he did it as a ballad (which would have been appropriate to the occasion) which means that the press report was pretty reliable after all. |
