Seeing Roxy for the first time as a naive sixteen year at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion on their '75 Country Life tour. Bryan sashayed onto the stage in tuxedo to the jingle-jangle intro of Prairie Rose before the band launched into their wall of sound and my future musical predilection was set in stone.

Like Zarathustra my first live moment was Prairie Rose bursting into life at the Glasgow Apollo so I was delighted when it was included this year. I suppose I have loads of favourite moments but because these things seemed to really matter in those days Jealous Guy getting to Number 1.

Feb 1976: Hollywood, CA - the Paladium Theater.....Off stage Bryan starts crooning "Surely you cannot be leading me on...." After that - full daily obsession for over 35 years. "Will it stop?" - NOOOOOOO....

Easy- their first appearance on "Top Of The Tops" playing Virginia Plain. they were simply so spectacularly different from anyone or anything else I had seen or heard up to then. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEalg62F8ZgHow could you not be a fan after this?

the first time I heard Virginia Plain on the radio, followed by seeing them on TOTP and then on Full House doing Ladytron. Seeing the inside cover of the first album. Then eventually seeing them perform Do The Strand live at the Rainbow in march 1973, their opening song....my first Roxy gig. There have been many more moments, but probably the "firsts" are those you remember. Michael

I am with Bob on this one. For me, it has to be the first TOTP appearance. Like thousands of teenage boys up and down the country, I was caught hook, line and sinker. I remember the buzz amongst all of my friends the following day. It was our time and we had discovered our band !
The only thing that comes close to this is when the guys first appeared on stage at Glasgow in Sept 2001. After so many years, I just didn't think that the day would come when I would see them again and it was a very emotional moment for me.

The reunion tour in 2001 was a great moment that I never thought I would see. The Manifesto tour was a similar experience. I never thought I would see them together again. Trash had already been released as a single and Manifesto had just been released. Trash bombed and Manifesto wasn't selling that well at the time so there was a doom and gloom feeling, but when the curtains opened and Bryan came on ...............Yeah Baby !
