Wondering if anyone had any opinions on the recent Roxy tribute release Take Refuge in Pleasure....I've just received the triple CD set Deluxe and Delightful....been playing it all week end. Well worth a listen....highligts for me are Dream Home, 2HB, Ladytron, She Sells, Trash and Really Good Time..... and the artwork is excellent!

My standout tracks are "Just Like You", "A Really Good Time", "End of the Line" "Law and Order" and "Spider and I". I agree about the artwork.

I just got my copy today through the post. The artwork and presentation is superb and like Roxy albums the music inside is good too. The Bob is superb. The best tracks on my first listen are the ones that are far away from the original. There is a really camp eurodisco version of A Song For Europe too. The Eno/Ferry composition 'I Thought' is done as if it was an Eno track.

I will write a wee bit more once I have heard the whole thing a few times.,

"End of the Line" was fantastic. I introduced it to a friend of mine, who's a singer himself, he said.. "David Byrne meets June Carter in Cyberia". I also liked the Eno interpretations a lot. I had to google Barry LeFoyle to see if he really WAS Eno, singing "I thought" , absolutly a brilliant cover-collection. Thanks a lot for this ear-opener.

"Needles in a camels eye" could easily hit top twenty, imho.
