Greetings pop pickers! Does anyone know if there are any plans for an album or film of the recent Roxy gigs?

The Manchester show was filmed with the intenton of a DVD release. They are currently in post production with the footage. I don't know when the intended release date is yet.

No CD then John? I thought they fimed all the shows? I was hoping that they would release the O2 but I suppose we have to be happy for anything really!
I wonder what will happen next if anything? Bryan touring for most of this year, so will 2012 bring us any other works by anyone in the camp or collectivly?

I have no further information onthe CD but I know there was the intention of a CD. They recorded every show.

The didn't film every show on the tour just Manchester. They had cameras et every show projecting on stage images onto the big screen merging them with pre-produced images. Some of the on stage footage may be used as cut aways within the DVD footage.

I have no information on recording plans/releases or tours for 2012.

Everything seems to take so long these days. by the time it comes out , it will all be a bit stale and only the die-hards will buy it. Same with Olympia. This tour is about a year too late. Anyway, here's a link to If there is Something from the video projection screen from earlier this year.

I think everything takes so long now with 'established' artists is that they are working on so many projects at once instead of seeing one through then on to the next like they may have done in the early days.

I think that the new DVD will be ready for Christmas time,it is just a feeling , but it seems reasonable to think about it.

I can sympathise to an extent. Most artists become more and more obsessed with perfecting their work before releasing it. However, when it does eventually come out, it has very little impact because it's taken so long, it's all a bit stale and only purchased by the hardcore fans. Roxy would have sold bucket loads of the 1972/73 Radio Sessions, or the Newcastle 1974 recording or the Wembley 1975 video. if they had been released at the right time. If it all came out now, I doubt if it would achieve much in the form of sales.
