Maybe this thing has been posted here before, but the evidence is that the "Manifesto" album is the "forgotten " album of the band. There are no songs from that album in the 2011 Festival gigs ,UK tour and obviously the same in the BF actual Tour.
I dont know the reason why, but it must be one of the most underrated albums ever... even for the own band.
I can´t understand that they are playing, for example, " lets stick together " more than songs like manifesto, spin me round, trash, stronger through the years ...,
Do they feel some kind of shame of that album or there are other reasons to forget this part of the story?

I find it difficult to listen to the whole album, but I quite like individual songs on Manifesto. My favourites are Manifesto, Still falls the rain, Stronger through the years,, Dance Away and Spin Me Round. Apart from the 2011 tour when they went a bit radical, the set lists since 2001 have been a bit of a Greatest Hits/Best of Roxy and nothing from Manifesto would have fitted in apart from Dance Away. They tried Angel Eyes (the re-recorded version !) on the 1980 tour and it didn't come off, so that may never be played live again.

Manifesto is a great track, great lyric, great music. Stronger through the years: one of my favourite roxy tracks: love that sound, especially andy's stutter sax weirdness towards the end. A few other pretty good tracks in there too, like the original version of angel eyes, rain, spin me round...even aint that so..

Shame that the overall wooden production values detract...yep, overall very underrated.

I agree with you Roxy siren.
Listening ,yesterday, the album again i could rediscover blends and minimal sounds that make perfect in some of the minus commercial songs of the record ,maybe is not a top ten album but some of the songs there ,are hidden gems.
It is strange thing for the band not to be bring up live those songs-

It was from the ..err....1979 Manifesto Tour ! Apart from Trash and Dance Away, nothing from that album has been played since that tour !
