Erland, I am glad to intervene if it helps. However, you definitely rubbed a lot of fair-minded people up the wrong way at the start of this string. I don't think that you should be too surprised that you attracted a bit of flak.
Nobody who takes even a passing interest in this forum could accuse IanS of not being a true fan. Apart from yourself, I don't think that there is anybody out there who loves absolutely everything RM/BF have released - not even the guys themselves. Phil has been very dismissive of Trash, the song that kicked all of this off, for example.
Given just how much the music has varied over the years, what amazes me is not that we don't all like everything but that most of us like so much.
