What a pile of shit! Nothing new .Just Remixes, Single Edits, B Sides, etc. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. They never fail to surprise me. l How about another Greatest Hits ?

This box set is a one stop shop to gather everything that was officially released

You may find that previously unreleased stuff will come out through the deluxe editions of the albums.

Anyway, it`s a non-event, really. Especially if you, like me, own the 4CD box set "The Thrill of It All", with the forth CD containing singles, B-sides and outtakes...

I'm sure this will be a classy looking box set which will look good on the shelves, but there is only so much duplication I can afford and I think I may need to pass this one by especially since, like le freak, I have "The Thrill Of It All" boxset already.
However I wonder if those tracks that are being made available on CD for the first time will be available to download separately on, say, iTunes or Amazon?
John's comment about "the deluxe editions of the albums" has me intrigued- we knew about the first album, but are the other albums going to be re-released in luxury form with previously unreleased stuff? If so, could be nice- a 2 CD set of "Viva" anyone?

This is not shit. If mastered correctly, the hirez 24/96 should sound fantastic, almost as good as the original U.K. vinyl issues.

That's something to look forward to. :D

Yes, the originally intended 2 CD (then albums) release of the Newcastle City Hall concert live from October '74 would be fantastic!

I'm a bit puzzled as to who this is marketed towards. Assuming that they intend to go forward with releasing a "deluxe" edition of Roxy's albums, would that not make this box set, at best, repetitious? I don't think the casual fan buys expensive box sets, so do they assume the superfans will purchase this box set in addition to the promised deluxe edition of the first album due this year? I was excited for an Olympia-esque treatment of "Roxy Music" with a proper book and bonus material.
