I'm quite happy to wait for the release of the Deluxe Edition later on this year.I really hope something of genuine interest is released. But I'm not getting my hopes up,just in case !!! Nothing would surprise me with Roxy ! However, I will be the first to admit I was wrong if they release something truly magnificent !! Over the years,we've had so many compilations and regurgitations of stuff that's already been released. I would now prefer to listen to Bryan singing in the bath,or whistling in the toilet or even humming in the garden rather than buy another Best Of/Limited Edition/Remixes/B sides/Radio Edits or any other regurgitations ! That includes DVDs!!! Like the Manchester 1979 show !! Or Frejus 1982 ! Or Musikladen 1973-74 !!

I agree wholeheartedly. Not sure if any
other band has released so many Best of's,
Greatest Hits, Compilations, etc than RM.

S'pose the money has to keep rolling in due
to the long waits between albums.

Nonetheless, it's all good. More people get
turned on to Roxy all the time I'm sure.

And indeed, I do kinda feel bloated like you.

Hello sigusti,

You too huh?

Like any product, ya gotta keep selling.

So long as the machine is rolling, new fans
will jump on board this great music and buy.

My final post on this subject. Any ideas what should be included on the 40th anniversary of the Deluxe Edition ? I would prefer the release of the full original demo. Speak now, before it's too late !

The Deluxe Edition of the debut album (assuming that's what you meant) is due this year, so it's 40th anniversary won't be until 2052; plenty of time for us to consider what we require that year of the 106 year old BF!

As for the Deluxe Edition, there's a separate thread running (most recent post was on 30th Sept), in which the demo features prominently. I'm confident that J.O'B will have summarised our wish list for BF's team by now; indeed, I'd be surprised if BF hadn't finalised the content with the record company already...

I'm just worried that it may not be as good as it could be. And then,it would be too late.Remember the 21st Anniversary of Avalon in 2003 ? We got a remix, surround sound, a few photos and the inclusion of a B side. Fine, but it could have been so much better. There were songs left over from those sessions, including the original recording of The Main Thing which was a lot slower. Is your Love Strong Enough was also recorded during the Avalon sessions and was originally called Circles and had different lyrics. Now that would have been more interesting and it would have sold more copies too!!
The 1971 Demo must be released. In its entirety !!! Vote now !!! Before it's too late !!!
