As far as I know the 'Complete' box set will come out around June but no confirmed date. The deluxe edition of the debut album is intended for later in the year maybe November and should catch the Christmas market.

No confirmed dates yet but both items getting a lot of attention.

Doubtless all those who aren't going to buy the 8CD box will now complain about its delayed release!

IMHO any Roxy release will reward what little patience any of us has and I, for one, am looking forward to all the future boxes.

In the meantime, sit back relax, have some cookies & milk.

I'm quite happy in a way by the delay with the boxset as my contract runs out again next week (not to say that I'll have anything fixed up job wise when it does come out but..) but just a tad concerned that "November and christmas market" could drag into next year given BF'S previous with any sort of deadline.

To go back to Ian S's comments about the 2011 live dvd, I doubt if that will see the light of day in the next few years (if at all) as all the effort seems to be centred on these re-issues and as always has to go through the BF quality control process.

Oh Smudge, I am not going to give you the pleasure of my complaining about the delayed 8CD boxset even though I have no plans to buy it.

The duluxe reissue of the first album is something I may well buy (especially if it includes unreleased demos, etc) and I was hoping it would appear sooner rather than later. Wasn't it originally released in May/June 1972? The wait until November just drags things out. Sigh. And a live album from Roxy's tour last year seems to have faded from view as a year has passed and all we have are cellphone captures uploaded to youtube. Sigh.

I'm getting older everyday and when I get "uploaded" to the nursing home they probably won't let me have a boom box. And I hate earbuds! Please Bryan, speed thinks up for the oldtimers in the crowd!!!

^ Completely agree with the sentiments expressed by DCJ. I'm not fussed about the delay in releasing the complete studio recordings but I am surprised the first album reissue is being delayed- it was originally released in June '72 and I naively thought a good way to celebrate 40 years would have been to release the deluxe version as close as possible to the 40th anniversary. Oh well, there's always Christmas to look forward to.

I won't be complaining if it never comes out ! I'm gonna celebrate. I wanna hear something new,not another compilation,all of which I've already heard before.

Unless they plan to release the 2011 Tour DVD soon followed by the Complete Box Set followed by the Deluxe Edition of RM1 at Christmas.

I too just don't know why they didn't get that Dvd out - I was dying to see it but have lost all interest now. These corporate gigs can wait surely untill all the work on other more important stuff is finished (that is unless he's spending more than he's earning these days)
