All the above suggested tunes have good intros. But Manifesto stands out for me...

Whilst I am wearing my wig, the greatest intro to a Roxy song was Serenade, all be it short. Was that Ferry or Jobson? The second best intro was oh yeah. Me and Bernadette, in the Rock Garden in Queen Street, Glasgow.

I would forever, couple another 2 tracks with Serenade.

Mott with "memphis" the album version, with Andy's sax solo, and the broken reed.

Second would be the wonderful Mr. David Bowie. "Boys Keep Swinging" Eno on "Sonics"

Going back to Serenade, Is that not Roxy in full flight? Ferry's vocal range, Phil's guitar, Andy's oboe, and Paul? Wow.

Serenade is not one of the tunes that gets much love/attention on the VRM Forum. But I have always thought that it is one of TGPT's best tracks.

I totally agree about Serenade. The forgotten gem. I actually stuck it down on my fantasy set list for the Roxy reunion.....ahhh It never happened though.... :(

Troops, head for M-People, search for the hero, Heather, and then cuddle everyone around you.
