Thanks for posting, John.

A particularly well written & insightful review too, IMHO.

That's the best article I've ever read about how the lads made us feel; I loved it, some superb comments, perfect pictures of the time and scene - well done Mr. Foxx. :D

That review from Classic Rock was utterly superb- as others have already said this absolutely completely nailed how the band made us feel at the time. Here's another review, this time from "Uncut" magazine: http://www.uncut.co.uk/roxy-music-the-c ... 982-review

10/10 for the albums themselves, only 2/10 for the extras...interesting too how this reviewer thinks Avalon is the most dated sounding of all the albums in spite of being the biggest seller.

Will the supposed individual deluxe editions contain the same mastering as the box set (I presume it they would both be the same, but you never know)? The reviews of the box set sound quality I've heard are encouraging (I'm more of a fan of "flat transfers" or remasters that are not compressed/brickwalled like so many modern day reissues), however, I'm tempted to hold out for individual deluxe editions. Any idea of the time-frame of these releases and when we might see announcements of content?

As far as I know the Deluxe edition of the debut album is due later this year, at an educated guess around mid November. I was invloved in this at Studio One for a few months earlier in the year and will be back there for a week next month to review and proof read the content etc before it goes past the point of no return.

I know that the pool of material up for selection will be very interesting to die hard fans but I am not sure at this stage what will make the final line up.
