Quite a while go, believe me, but I remember standing in front of my t.v.
and filming Roxy Music's tv performance with a Super 8 Camera.
Must of been around 1980, with Bryan playing guitar and performing one of the F&B songs, probably EMH.
But how embarassing thinking about that... the S8 quality was abysmal, but back then I did'nt have a video... and was grateful for anything from RM.

embaressed, Stephen

I think the one with the guitar was "Over You.". As I recall there was also a different bloke playing sax as well.

No need to be embarrassed Stephen  I bet we have all done some odd things over the years when it comes to Roxy fandom!

I think this will be the one you and Bill are talking about........

Blimey, Bill; you've got a good memory for details!

Wonder where Mr Mackay was? Maybe he & BF were still at loggerheads over the composer royalties for the different versions of Angel Eyes!

The sax deputy looks so out of place! His whole look is almost a decade off the pace; I can't decide if he looks more like Keith Lemon with a brunette rinse or former snooker player Willie Thorne in a toupee!

I kind of remember because MacKay was always my hero, so I was disappointed when he wasn't playing - or synching, as the case may be. I think I remember that the story was he was on holiday, which I thought was odd, so your joke about loggerheads may not be too far off!

Haha...oh the memories Stephen.

I remember doing something very similar, only I used to take pictures with my little oblong Kodak camera of the TV screen when BF/Roxy were on TOTP "Over You" being one of them haha.....and also some afternoon talk programme which I think was the same day(s) Roxy came to Manchester on the F&B tour. My mum let me take the day off school because I was that excited about going to the gig and didn't sleep a wink the night before..... and of course out came the camera.

I've still got those telly pictures too...actually they don't look that bad all things considered.

Might post them for a laugh... ;)

I audio recorded Bryan Ferry Live in Australia on channel 7 during his '77 tour. Still have the tape somewhere.

It's interesting to see one very smart Paul Thompson there, must be soon before he jacked in and went else where, or fell off his motor bike, whichever.

Mr. MacKay had decided to book a cruise round the med so I believe Mel Collins is the slightly out of place stand-in
