The song is great, really great! I saw the online press conference. -Really exciting stuff.

Regarding the album, they set themselves a deadline. They just had a couple of months from scratch to finish. They forgot the songs they already had developed after several years. The result so far is really fresh sounding. On my wish list is typical album tracks like the old "Can`t You Hear Me Knocking", with a bit space and contrasts between loud and mellow.

On the minus side, the cover art seems a bit tacky. I wish they could have gone for the tomato red and sepia colors from the first ad in East London local newspaper Hackney News. I think it used fonts from the somewhat infamous 1978 "Some Girls" album.

I can only agree with you. Brilliant. I can only agree with the many comments on this song. This song gets better and better for me every time I listen to it. The last time I experienced that was in 1985... The song was called Slave to Love... Respect to the Stones. Where do they get this incredible energy from...

-And now they say that Ronnie sounds like a young gun slinger in the guitar solo at the end of "Whole Wide World". I have to say I have a bit of mixed feelings. I`ve never been a punk, neither a new wave or a house occupant. Question is, do those people listen to The Stones?

It`s time for all the second thoughts. A poster at iorr.org said this about recent song "Get Close":

When people talk like that, they have to be pretty sure. However, is it really true? I find this song after several listens a bit tireing. It demands a lot of attention, or else it get a bit too much. I would say it`s a typical fan`s song, never to be played live.

Well, it`s not really that bad, I have to admit. The song that`s the most difficult to like is "Whole Wide World" -Ehm, it strikes me when I write these words, do they mean the World Wide Web? Anyway, I think it`s an age thing. People can discuss songs on the net without knowing the age of each other. Then they often talk beyond each other. Myself, I hate punk music. If people don`t know that, then we`re talking on a failing foundation.
