I'm writing review of the "Stranded" album. What resources are available on Roxy Music lyric meanings? For instance, I can't think of what "jet black magic" means in "Streetlife." Any ideas? I have a lot of questions, but maybe you've heard them all before....

That link is interesting, but it doesn't give any clue to what "jet black magic" means.

My guess is that it means "beer" because it helps him celebrate the weekend. However, I have never heard "beer" refered to as "jet black magic." I know that Bryan Ferry is poetic when it he writes his songs, so it could be something he invented. It works well with the rest of the song and I love the "WOOOO!" he puts in at the end of that line.
