I'm trying to find a cheaper version of Andy Mackay's "In Search of Eddie Riff." It's so expensive on the amazon sites. $85!

Any suggestions, Please? Thank you.

I assume you mean the CD version on Rifff Records (RIFF CD002), which was licensed to Virgin and which is probably deleted now? It was never easy to find; I think I had to order mine through one of the London megastores years ago.

Even Andy's old website (www.sierrabravo.co.uk/roxysax/) seems to be no more; maybe John O'B can confirm?

As I have the CD, which includes all the tracks from both versions of the album (and kindly signed by Andy at a Metaphors London gig), I'd probably be prepared to sell or exchange either version of the LP (or both) if you want the music on vinyl. The first version (including a couple of vocals) is on Island; the second version (all instrumentals) is on Polydor and from just after the label switch (circa 1976/7).

Good luck with your search!

That's so awesome. I love Mr. Mackay! Did you get to talk to him at all? What did he say? :D

Thank you for your offer, I'd like to take you up on it, if you don't mind. How much do you want? In exchange for what? I can't pay a whole lot of money right now, but I'd love to hear this album.
Thank you.
