I'm sure you've heard about Alvin's passing...one of the great guitarists will be missed. Never really got into Ten Years After, but his Pure Blues compilation CD is well worth checking out; it includes a couple of cracking tracks with George Harrison. |

Smudge, If you read all of the 1st link, you'll find out that he used to hang out with George. They'd jam and just have fun. Here's a snippet from Page 4... "“George and I spent five days a week together, at mine or at his in Henley, Friar Park. A lot of it was just cracking jokes. He asked me what I thought of Eric Clapton. I told him: ‘Too much blood in the drugstream.’ Which cracked him up. We wrote songs like The Bluest Blues, but mostly we just hung out.” A great read, awesome videos. |
