Hi,
I've been an admirer of Sylvian's work since buying the Japan album 'Gentlemen Take Polaroids' in 1980,but as EERO mentions his latest efforts like 'Manafon' unfortunately have become unlistenable.
I recently bought both 'Blemish' and 'Manafon' and to be honest I do not really get the point with these 'creatures'.
Besides the beautiful 'Secrets Of The Beehive' album,
I would recommend the masterpiece 'Gone To Earth' from 1986,
if possible as a remastered 2006 double CD.
Another highlight is 'Damage' the live 1993 album from the tour he did with Mr Robert Fripp.

Kind regards,
Henrik.

-Just can`t get enough of this one from the great 1971. I hadn`t heard it since, but never forgotten it. It opens with a solo guitar crystal clear as sour milk:

Teresa,

I'm slowly getting the hang of IT on my new mobile phone thingy.
A friend helped me by sending the link to the above song you had included in your list.

It's stunning. Incredible atmosphere and lyrics. Very moving, thanks for that, I urge all romantics to give it a listen.
:D

I am so glad you enjoyed it, and I agree with your description :)
Glad you are getting the hang of internet searching;
There are so many new artists worth checking :)

Another artist I practically worship is Van Morrison.

Can't get enough of this one for instance: The Way Young Lovers Do from Astral Weeks (1968)

Been away from here awhile, sorry.
The great news is Field Music have a new album out called Commontime.
I bought it 20 minutes ago and have just played the opening track "The noisy days are over". Frankly, this song alone is worth the album price...class.
Windswept2, you will love the jazzy sax break.

It's beautifully packaged too.

Another one in the back of the net for Sunderland.

We need them!

Well done Brewis boys.
